Fredney Gales and his team in the Independent Community Based Option (ICBO), one of our day programs in Disabilities, recently organized an afternoon tea for the parents and carers. This was held at the SWELL room at the Chester Hill Community Centre on Thursday. The room is home to more than 20 clients attending the ICBO program. A beautiful set of cupcakes prepared by our talented clients created the atmosphere of openness and networking as parents and carers enjoyed the delicious spread.
There was a wonderful opportunity for the parents, carers and staff to get to know each other. A video was played in the background showcasing the activities from the past months. Parents and carers had the chance to ask questions and speak to any staff with regards to their progress in the program. Everyone was so excited as to set up the tables and chairs and show the hard work that everyone has prepared.
We are looking forward to this new monthly event making our program accessible to parents and carers. We are so happy to have the opportunity to show our dedication to providing care to our clients.
