Together
By working together with our community, we can make significant improvements to things that matter to us. We believe this must begin with community conversations where we listen to what the community wants. Out of this listening we partner with residents, non -government and government organisations to build a better future.
2163 Project
During 2018, Woodville Alliance, Fairfield City Council, Smith Family’s Communities for Children Fairfield program and other collaborators – Community First Step, Parks Community Network, TAFE NSW, CORE Community Services and South West Connect focused on engaging with the community of Villawood and Carramar (the 2163 postcode) to better understand the local community, their collective strengths and challenges and their vision for the future. Taking a collective impact approach, the 2163 In Focus project focussed on working authentically with the community to identify strengths and challenges and opportunities for change. The community identified 5 priority areas – Crime and Safety, Drugs, Parks and Public Spaces, Activities for all ages and Bringing us together.
The outcome of the project was a report – 2163 in Focus Summary Report and film about the community living in the 2163 postcode. For a copy of the report or to view the film, click here
