We are very excited to share that four of our ICBO (Independent Community Based Options) clients graduated from the Small Stone Project on 13 April at a ceremony held at the Parramatta Town Hall. Big congratulations to Joanne Pang, Samar, Mona Malas and Fane Kate for all your hard work!
Small Stone Project is capacity building workshops that look at barriers and opportunities for young people with disability. The project is for young people run by young people as well and organised in partnership with Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association (MDAA) and Woodville. The main aim is to promote inclusion and participation of young people aged 16 to 25 years old from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Distinguished guests attended the graduation ceremony from the government and the NGO sector including the Hon John Ajaka, the Hon Sohpie Cotsis, the Hon Julian Finn and Dr Geoff Lee. Our very own Joanne Pang sang the “Australian National Anthem” and provided entertainment by singing the song “We are the World” during lunchtime.
